ETHOS Lab is interested in challenging standard notions of expertise, which includes promoting the expertise which students represent. GATEWAY is a new student driven initiative at the ITU that seeks to provide a positive environment to study in. You can read more about GATEWAY on their website.
GATEWAY is an example of university-based civil society, and we are proud to have partnered with them. From the Lab’s perspective, GATEWAY is an interesting organisation since it is relatively new and offers lots of possibilities to map, consult and contribute to their growth. We are also intersted in the concept of what one might call the ‘data-driven civil society’, which the rise of digital platforms, technologies and methods allows. Work on this concept is forthcoming.
